The Stability of Glucose in Serum

[摘要] The destruction of glucose does not occur in separated serum during the 48 hr. immediately following collection.If necessary, the determination of the glucose level of serum can be delayed at least 48 hr. without introducing a significant error, provided the serum is removed from the clot immediately after collection.
