Relationship of Serum and Urinary Proteins in Neoplastic States: A Preliminary Survey
[摘要] Twenty-four-hour urine specimens from patients with and without malignancies were concentrated by dialysis. The electrophoretic mobility of the urine protein components was compared with that of the respective serum proteins. Control values were similar to those established in the literature. Urinary protein concentrations found in malignant states were higher. Generally, there is a positive correlation between serum concentration of globulins and urinary excretion. It is not possible to prove in either controls or in patients bearing malignancies that the amount of urinary protein excreted depends upon molecular size.
