Canadian Hypertension Education Program Recommends the Use of Nonfasting Lipid Panels for Routine Laboratory Workup
[摘要] Hypertension is a well-established risk factor for cardiovascular disease (CVD).2 Assessment of lipids, physical activity, alcohol consumption, and other CVD risk factors in this patient population is an essential component of disease management. The use of nonfasting samples for lipid panels has been a matter of ongoing debate. In 2009, Denmark was the first to use nonfasting lipid panels for routine testing based on recommendations from the Danish Society for Clinical Biochemistry.
