An Improved Extraction Procedure for the Determination of Triglycerides and Cholesterol in Plasma or Serum

[摘要] A simple method of preparing extracts of plasma or serum suitable for determination of both triglycerides and cholesterol is described. Its chief advantage over present procedures is in a considerable saving of time and labor involved in the preparation of large numbers of samples. The method appears to give a more complete extraction of glycerides and compares favorably with existing methods of extracting cholesterol.
