[摘要] For a great many years model experiments with ships have been carried out in towing tanks in order to ascertain the reactive movements of ships under different wave and current conditions. Such experiments do not only pertain to the stability of the ships but also to forces brought to bear on the hulls of the ships. A recent development in the coastal engineering field includes the use of ship models in questions of navigation.
