WINDS AND PRESSURES IN HURRICANES

[摘要] The hurricane is one of the most dangerous and at the same time one of the most interesting weather phenomena with which the citizens of the United States have to deal. We have more hurricanes on our southern and eastern seaboards than any other major continental area, except Southeast Asia (1, 2). These storms of course are very familiar to certain Island countries: Cuba, Haiti and the Dominican Republic, Japan, the Philippines. Mexico and Australia receive their share also.
