EXPERIMENTS ON NONLINEAR WAVE GROUPS SHOALING IN A TANK

[摘要] Evolution of periodically generated wave groups of different shapes that propagate over a sloping beach is studied experimentally and theoretically, by solving numerically the cubic Schrodinger equation. The agreements and disagreements between the experimental and the numerical results are discussed.
