AUTOMATED DIGITAL SIMULATION OF TIDES S LONG WAVES

[摘要] A system for indirect programming of shallow-water models is discussed, particular attention being given to facilitating successful operation by novice users. Pre-developed programs are used to check numerical coding of model layout, to execute the finite-difference computations required at each time step and to analyse the computed surface elevations and velocities. Many error-prone steps are thus eliminated and model development is speeded for modest increase in computation costs.
