DEVELOPMENT OF A SUBMERGED DOPPLER-TYPE DIRECTIONAL WAVE METER

[摘要] This paper presents a newly developed type of submerged directional wave meter having the capability to measure water surface elevation and multiple current velocity components. These components are determined from Doppler frequency shifts using the complex covariance method. The developed system was demonstrated to be capable of successfully obtaining directional wave data, as well as adequately estimating directional wave spectra.
