WAVE-CURRENT INTERACTIONS IN INLETS

[摘要] Laboratory experiments were conducted in a flume to study wave-current interaction at the entrance to an inlet. Regular and irregular waves were studied with and without ebb and flood currents. These data are being used to develop a parameterization of the wave breaking criterion in the presence of currents in inlets, provide guidance to the field on the effects of currents on waves, and improve the predictive capability of numerical models for enhancing navigation in inlets.
