OPTIMIZING DUMPING SITES NEAR DREDGED CHANNELS

[摘要] To maintain the depth of the deepwater channel of the Elbe-Waterway extensive dredging has to be done permanently. Dumping should be optimized, choosing sites near the dredging area but with a small risk of recirculation of the dumped material. In order to estimate this risk field measurements with current meters and radioactive tracer tests in field and model were carried out.
