STUDY OF TOPOLOBAMPO'S BAY, MEXICO, ENTRANCE

[摘要] Brief examination of the geomorphological background of the Topolobampo's bay inlet is made A theoretical study of the inlet and spits, based on field data such as wind, waves, tides, currents, bathimetric charts from 1875 to 1965, was developed in order to determinate the most convenient position of an experimental channel dregged on 1963. Radioactive tracer studies, photographic and periodical surveys of the inlet and the channel gave the information for the design of the definitive channel, which at present is behaving in accordance with the predicted way in the theoretical study.
