MATHEMATICAL AND PHYSICAL WAVE DISTURBANCE MODELLING COMPLIMENTARY TOOLS

[摘要] This paper presents comparisons between physical and numerical model reproductions on the basis of comprehensive wave disturbance studies of a major Spanish port. Mathematical modelling has reached in many cases a degree of reliability comparable to that of a physical model, but it is essential that both types of modelling systems are validated against measurements.
