EXPERIMENTAL STUDIES OF STRESSES WITHIN THE BREAKWATER ARMOR PIECE "DOLOS"

[摘要] Stresses induced within the breakwater armor piece "Dolos", when it is subjected to loads, are not reliably inferred from the two dimensional techniques of analysis used in conventional design of structures. Other methods that take the solid geometry of the dolos into consideration are available, and comprehensive application of one of them, three-dimensional photoelastic stress analysis, is reported here.
