CROSS-SHORE TRANSPORT MODELLING IN TERMS OF SEDIMENT CONCENTRATIONS AND VELOCITIES

[摘要] The fluctuations of sediment concentration and velocity during a wave period may play an important role in cross-shore sediment transport. In this study, the contribution of the fluctuations was estimated by measuring time-varying sediment concentration and velocity under laboratory conditions. The results showed that the contribution can only be neglected if the mean flow is relatively strong compared to the wave orbital motion.
