A METHOD FOR ESTIMATING REFLECTION COEFFICIENT IN SHORT-CRESTED RANDOM SEAS

[摘要] A method for estimating the reflection coefficient is developed for practical uses. In the method, a parametric expression of directional spectra is adopted and the parameters in it are estimated by the maximum likelihood method. The validity of the method is verified by applying it to simulated data. The method is also applied to field data, obtained at Oarai Port, Japan.
