STATISTICALLY SIGNIFICANT BEACH PROFILE CHANGE WITH AND WITHOUT THE PRESENCE OF SEAWALLS

[摘要] The interaction of beaches and seawalls is a highly controversial subject today. Many of the arguments both "for" and "against" the construction of seawalls have been speculative. Few are based on actual field or laboratory measurements. This paper is part of a continuing study at one location, which intends to shed some light on this controversy using statistical analysis of real field data.
