A MODEL STUDY OF ALONGSHORE SEDIMENT TRANSPORT RAT

[摘要] Alongshore sediment transport rate was studied in a 3-dimensional mobile bed coastal model and was found to depend on the beach profile and rate of wave energy dissipation in addition to the normal wave and sediment parameters. Alongshore sediment transport rate was found to be strongly related to the surf similarity parameter, a single parameter simplistically describing beach profile and breaker type.
