A TRANSMISSION LINE WAVE HEIGHT TRANSDUCER

[摘要] A simple but accurate wave transducer has been developed for the measurement of waves and tidal levels on inland and coastal waters. It consists of a tunnel diode oscillator, using a transmission line to sense the water-level. The output voltage consists of a square wave, with a period linearly proportional to the water-level. In addition an analog output signal is provided. The quasi-static accuracy of the instrument is equal to or less than 0.2%.
