SEALEVEL RISE : A PROBABILISTIC DESIGN PROBLEM

[摘要] An economic model is developed to calculate the optimal height of sea defences in case of sealevel rise. The optimal amount and the optimal period of heightening are found, for the single period as well as for the multi-period case. Finally the optimal strategy of heightening of sea defences in case of an uncertain sealevel rise is formulated.
