SENSITIVITY ANALYSIS FOR MULTI-ELEMENT WAVEMAKERS

[摘要] Lateral variations in wave height have been observed in directional wave basins when generating monochromatic plane waves. Two numerical schemes are presented to examine wave height sensitivity to perturbations in stroke length between paddles and gaps between either adjacent paddles or the sidewall of the basin. A non-uniform wavemaker front generates both the desired wave and can generate waves at an angle and at the same frequency as the main wave.
