Dialysis in Intensive Care Unit Patients with Acute Kidney Injury: Continuous Therapy is Superior

[摘要] When comparing continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) with intermittent therapy, it is wise to remember that the very reason for the development and introduction of CRRT into clinical practice in the late 1970s and early 1980s was to compensate for the clear inadequacies of conventional intermittent hemodialysis (IHD) in the treatment of critically ill patients with multi-organ failure (1). If there had not been serious problems with conventional IHD, CRRT would not be the subject for discussion.
