This paper describes the results of tests on nine prestressed concrete one-way slabs with unbonded tendons in which the parameters just described are considered. The tests were conducted in order to study the effects of those parameters on the stress in the prestressing steel at the flexural strength of the members. Tests were also carried out on a further three prestressed concrete one-way slabs with bonded tendons which were identical in all other respects to three of the unbonded prestressed slabs. These further slabs were tested to provide a comparison of behavior between the two types, in particular, to determine the difference in flexural strength.
