Presents an overview of the performance of the precast prestressed concrete elements and structures on the Illinois State Toll Highway after 25 years of service. Of particular interest are the condition of the bridge girders, stay-in-place deck panels, bearings, and bridge piers, together with any evidence of corrosion and freeze-thaw damage. Judging maintenance cost records and visual inspection, it can be concluded that the precast prestressed structures have performed extremely well during the last 25 years.
