Potential problems of diversity management in merging institutions : a case of the Universities of North–West and Potchefstroom
[摘要] The general objective of the study was to elicit responses of workers on theimprovement of diversity management in order to create a conducive workingrelationship.The purpose of the study was to assist management of the new institution inpromoting a consistent approach to diversity management through the findings andrecommendations of the study.Questionnaire were used as the data-gathering instrument. The data was coded, readinto a computer and analysed. The SAS computer program was used for the analysisof data.There were no surprises findings in this study. The findings show that the majority ofthe respondents belong to the Christian religion. The new institution need to knowthat increasing heterogeneity of work population requires greater awareness withregard to work goals and work values.
