[摘要] Among the paddy rice varieties cultivated in Japan, the varieties suitable to rich field are found generally to have shorter height of plant and higher nitrogen content per dry matter during the growing period than varieties suitable to poor field. By heavy dressing of nitrogen, the former increased the number of tillers and the amount of nitrogen in the plant more prominently than the latter.
