Studies on Fiber Development in Flax Plants Sown at Various Seasons

[摘要] The seeds were sown on every 1st, 11th, and 21st of the months from Feb. 11 to Aug. 11. The fiber development in the internode between the cotyledon node and the first branching node of the stem was examined microscopically at harvest times. The results excluding those of the three plots, namely Feb.11, Aug.1-and Aug.11-seeding which were all injured by severe weathers, are represented in the tables and the figures in the text.
