Influence of Gibberellin and Auxin Concentrations on the Extension in Lamina Joints of Rice Plants

[摘要] Using the excised leaves from etiolated seedlings, some interrelation between gibberellin and auxin have been found. That is, the first, gibberellin expressed conspicuously the synergistic action when it combined with suboptimal level of IAA (Fig. 1 and Tables 2 and 3) The second, the increased angles resulted from the combination of gibberellin and IAA were attributable to the prolongation of the extension period of lamina joints but not the rate of the extension (Fig. 2). The third, bending response of lamina joint was different between the seedlings which were cultured in the medium with and without nutrient (Table 4).
