Die bestuursontwikkelingstaak van die skoolhoof in die primêre skool
[摘要] The quality and survival of an organisation (i.e. school)is determined by the quality and performance of its manager(i.e. Head of school). The management proceeding is theinstrument of the undertaking which can make sources andresources productive.The Head of the school is in charge of human activities andhe must see to it that all resources are utilised aseffectively as possible to fulfil particular needs and toendeavour to reach specific goals. The improvement of thequality of education remains therefore the main object ofeducational management. The Head of the school is howevernot the only person who has a managing role to perform inschool. To manage a school effectively, the head isassisted by Deputy Heads and Heads of Departments who allhave to be developed in management.Deputy Heads and Heads of Department have a clearly definedtuition task as well as a management task to fulfil.Although tuition and management are two distinct activitieswhich function independently this goal is the realisationof effective education. Yet each in a distinctive manner.Various methods of management development in as well asoutside the school can be employed to develop educationalleaders in management. The management of d school shouldnot only plan and initiate and then stand on the touch lineas observers, they must get involved dynamically 1n everyaction which is conductive.A model is used as a representation of a managementdevelopment scheme, in reduced form. By way of a diagraman attempt is made to represent a simplified managementdevelopment program for educational leaders in the primaryschool.
