Low-energy excitations in a low-viscous glass-forming liquid
[摘要] Polarized and depolarized low frequency Raman spectra of a liquid mixture, viz. 0.15LiClâ€??0.85H2O, has been analysed in detail in order to elucidate the temperature and polarization characteristics of quasi-elastic line and Boson peak. The employed fitting procedure shows more convincingly that the Boson peak contribution to the overall low frequency Raman pattern is present even in this low-viscous liquid. The degree of disorder in this liquid is not so high and certain micro-ordering effects may take place due to hydrogen bonding. The results are discussed in the framework of the current phenomenological status of the field.
