The reciprocal in Xhosa

[摘要] ENGLISH ABSTRACT:This work explores the interrelated morpho-phonological, syntactfr ·and semantic features of the affix -AN- as a reciprocal affix inXhosa.Chapter II examines the way in which some previous studies onthis reciprocal affix -AN- have been handled by earlier grammarians.Chapter III aims at exploring the syntactic and semanticfeatures of the derivative verb stems with -AN-.Chapter IV is a summary of the work done both in syntax andsemantics of reciprocal verbs.
