Infectivity of Toxocara canis Larvae from Japanese Quails in Mice

[摘要] References(20)Cited-By(5)Two hundred Toxocara canis larvae derived from Japanese quail liver were given orally to each of 50 8-week-old ddY mice and parasitism of the larvae was examined during 6 hr and 120 days after inoculation. Although there were no clinical signs in infected mice, larvae were recovered from the liver (21.5 ± 16.3 larvae), lung (5.1 ± 6.0 larvae), kidney (0.7 ± 1.1 larvae), small intestine (1.0 ± 2.0 larvae), mesentery (1.6 ± 3.1 larvae), and brain (7.8 ± 6.8 larvae).
