Expression of NG2 proteoglycan in the degenerated intervertebral disc indachshunds

[摘要] References(28)The pathogenesis of intervertebral disc (IVD) degeneration is not fully understood. Thebiomolecular signaling pathways involved in the IVD degeneration require furtherinvestigation. The aim of this study was to investigate the expression of NG2 proteoglycanin the degenerated IVD. IVD samples were obtained from 16 Dachshunds that were confirmedto have IVD herniation and subsequently underwent hemilaminectomy. The samples weresubjected to histological and immunohistochemical (IHC) examinations. IHC revealedpositive results for the expression of NG2 proteoglycan in all examined samples. Theresults showed the expression of NG2 proteoglycan by the degenerated IVDs.
