Coaxial resonator filters

[摘要] ENGLISH ABSTRACT: The purpose of this project is to develop a number of coaxial resonatorlters.Firstly, the theoretical model of thelter is discussed, with a Tchebyscheff LC-ladderprototypelter used to derive a generalised bandpasslter. From this, generalisedCombline- and Interdigitallters are derived. Following this, various optionsand limitations in the mechanics of microwavelters are discussed. Results are shownfor an in-depth study considering the unloaded quality factor for thirteen di erentresonators. Each resonator is unique in the method of manufacturing, polishing, aswell as plating.Utilizing the information obtained from the unloaded quality factor measurements,three coupled coaxial resonatorlters, are designed for use in a radar system, namelya sixth order 2125 MHz Comblinelter, a sixth order 9250 MHz Interdigitallterand a third order 9250 MHz Interdigitallter.Optimal results were obtained when both resonators and coupled transmissionlinelters were constructed from aluminium that was wire-cut and then silver electroplated.
