Characterisation of Rhizoctonia in cropping systems in the Western Cape Province

[摘要] The genus Rhizoctonia includes important soilborne plant pathogens that can causesevere economic losses on a wide range of crops including cereal, canola, pasture and grainlegume crops. Limited information is available on specific anastomosis groups (AGs), nuclearstatus, pathogenicity and cross-pathogenicity of Rhizoctonia isolates associated with each ofthese crops in the Western Cape province. Therefore, these aspects were investigated in thisstudy, since information in this regard is crucial for the development of Rhizoctonia diseasemanagement practices.
