Factors influencing infant feeding choices of PMTCT mothers at St. Barnabas Hospital, Libode, Eastern Cape

[摘要] ENGLISH ABSTRACT: Infant feeding in the context of HIV/AIDS has recently been too controversial. It has been observed from this study that there are multiple factors that can influence an infant feeding choice. Attitudes and the shortage of health care workers to offer nutrition education are the main sources of confusion when PMTCT mothers at St Barnabas make a choice.The recommendation is that mothers on PMTCT should receive on- going individual counseling on nutrition on infant feeding. Each individual PMTCT mother should be assessed on compliance with AFASS criteria.
