LA INFLUENCIA DE LA NATURALEZA DE LAS SUPERFICIES EN LA TRIBOLOGÍA

[摘要] RESUMEN En este artículo se hace una revisión, desde un ángulo de visión microscópico, en un aspecto fundamental como es la naturaleza de las superficies involucradas en un sistema tribológico; ya que la interacción entre ellas, gobierna los mecanismos que rigen los daños por fricción y desgaste, que usualmente, son sólo detectados macroscópicamente por medio de la medición de pérdida de peso y cambios de fuerzas.  ABSTRACT Tribology is the science and technology of solid surfaces in contact and realtive move which, involve studying areas such as friction, wear and ¡lubrication. Therefore any tribology system is highly complex which includes many variables and phenomena occurring in different solid-liquid-gas interfaces. It is well known that the tribology is a subject of great importance for the economy and technology of the countries. Many surveys have demonstrated that about 1.5% of the gross national product of an industrialized country could be saved solely controlling the tribologic behavior of the materials. This paper pretends to review, from the microscopic view, about a fundamental aspect of the surfaces nature which are involved in a tribologic system; so that the interaction between them rules the governing mechanisms of friction and wear damage, which usually, are only detected in macroscopic changes like wastage and thickness measurements.
