PANORÁMICA GENERAL Y RETOS DE INGENIERÍA EN LA INDUSTRIA DEL BIODIESEL

[摘要] RESUMEN El presente trabajo explora y analiza la situación actual del biodiesel en Colombia, desde el punto de vista económico: el comportamiento de los precios a partir del presente año tanto del biodiesel como del aceite crudo de palma, el establecimiento del marco legal colombiano y los aspectos medio ambientales tales como la contaminación atmosférica y su contribución al efecto de invernadero. Finalmente trata sobre los retos de ingeniería desconocidos por muchos en el sector productivo como su estabilidad durante el almacenamiento (acidificación e hidrólisis), y su biodegradabilidad, causada por microorganismos tales como las pseudomonas. Se concluye que existe una falencia en cuanto a la definición del precio del biodiesel en Colombia y que existen diferentes problemas de ingeniería que deben ser investigados a fondo para evitar inconvenientes durante la producción y el almacenamiento del biocombustible.  Palabras clave:Biodiesel de palma, precios, biodegradabilidad, oxidación.  ABSTRACT This work explores and analizes the current situation of biodiesel in Colombia, from an economical point of view, the behavior of biodiesel and crude palm oil prices since the beginning of the current year, the foundation of a legal state by the Colombian government and environmental items like the atmospheric pollution and its contribution on the Greenhouse effect. Finally treats about unknown engineering problems in the productive area like its storage stability (acidification and hydrolysis) and its biodegradability caused by microorganisms like pseudomonas. It concludes that there is a problem related to the biodiesel price definition because of its dependence with the international crude palm oil price (CIF, Rotterdam) and that exist several engineering problems that must be studied deeply to avoid problems during the production and storage of this biofuel.  Keywords:palm biodiesel, biodiesel prices, biodegradability, oxidation.
