Aborsie en adolessensie : die besluitnemingsproses

[摘要] ENGLISH ABSTRACT:Adolescence is viewed as the transitional stage between childhood and adulthood.Development during this stage centres on identity, sexuality, cognition andmorality. Abortion during adolescence demands a careful decision-makingprocess. Research has shown that the adolescent's reaction to abortion isdetermined by the decision-making process that was adopted. This paperprovides a literature review of developmental issues and the capacity ofadolescents to make decisions about reproduction and motherhood. Theconclusion is reached that age is not the determinant of the emotional statefollowing abortion, but rather the nature of the decision-making process that wasfollowed.
