Objetive: To know the association amongage, sex, height and weight with dental eruption as events of somatic growth.Material and Methods: A prospective, cross-sectional and descriptivestudy was conducted. A probabilistic, randomized sample stratified by sex andage, where n=3519 of the Mexican apparently healthy infantile population, ofboth sexes between 0 month and 14 years with 11 months old, settled down inPuebla's valley, was analyzed. Results: It was observed a positive correlationbetween weight and height in both sexes. In 46% of the female sample, it wasfound a correlation of weight with dentition and dental eruption; in 48 % ofheight with dentition and dental eruption; and with both in 36 %. In 64 % ofthe male population, it was found a correlation between dentition and weight;in 68 % between height and dentition, and in 60 % of dental eruption with heightand weight. Dental eruption correlated in 56% with weight and in 56% with heightin both sexes. Conclusion: There is a real positive correlation in fastgrowth stages in both sexes.
