Fournier'ssyndrome is a rapidly progressive necrotizing fasciitis affecting the genitaliaand perineal region. Even with the advances in therapy, morbidity and mortalityof this disease remain high. We report the case of male patient, 70 years old,diagnosed with advanced adenocarcinoma of the prostate. A day with pain and swellingnear scrotum associated with fever. The physical examination revealed septic patientwith gas gangrene of the penis and scrotum; on digital rectal examination, a vegetativeand ulcerated lesion on the anterior wall of the rectum extending from 3 to 7cm from the anal edge. Performed surgical debridement, with identification ofscrotal-rectal fistula transtumoral. Histo-pathological study of the lesion confirmedrectal infiltration by adenocarcinoma of prostate. Was discharged from the hospitalon the twentieth day of hospitalization, outpatient cancer currently monitoring.
