This review is based on standards of treatmentfor diverticular disease, both classical and new ones due to cumulated videolaparoscopicexperience. The sequential double videolaparoscopic procedure for acute diverticulitisis discussed along with data from other studies supporting this novel modalityof surgical treatment.
