Method of fixing biological tissue
[摘要] Biological tissue is treated with an aprotic solvent, e.g. dimethyl sulphoxide, to remove water from the tissue to render the tissue compatible for a reaction with a polyurethane or polyurethane precursor. The dehydrated tissue is reacted with (a) a solution derived from a diisocyanate to which a diol is subsequently added or with (b) a solution derived from a diisocyanate and a diol or with (c) an isocyanate terminated polyurethane solution or a combination of two or more of the solutions (a), (b), (c), using an aprotic solvent as reaction solvent under inert and anhydrous conditions at a temperature up to 60o Celsius. The treated tissue is recovered and rinsed with aprotic solvent to remove excess polyetherpolyurethane solution, disinfected and stored in a buffered saline solution.
