Electrochemical purification of hazardous organic compounds from wastewater by means of novel electrode materials and a solid-polymer-electrolyte-reactor system
[摘要] ENGLISH ABSTRACT: A novel sol-gel Ti/Sn02/Sb205 electrode material for the electro catalytic oxidation(combustion) of hazardous organic compounds in water has been designed and characterised.Kinetic studies revealed the mechanism of the combustion reaction.Two reactor systems supporting this catalytic material can be conceived of for applicationsupporting the novel electrode material for water purification, namely:• a Solid Polymer Electrolyte (SPE) sandwich reactor and• a fluidised bed reactor, hosting the electro-catalyst as a powder.An SPE-reactor system has been designed and evaaluated for its performance.As the electrode material seemed to be promising for perchlorate production as well, theoxidation of chlorate to perchlorate was investigated.
