Method for coumarin quantification in dry extracts from Justicia pectoralis Jacq.

[摘要] Rationale: Justicia pectoralis Jacq., an Acantaceae family species, is an herbaceous plant that is used as a traditional sedative by the Cuban population.Objectives: to develop and to validate a high performance liquid chromatography to determine coumarin in dry extract from J. pectoralis extracts.Methods: A high performance liquid chromatography method to determine coumarin was developed and validated.Results: The method was specific, accurate, precise and linear.Conclusions: This method may be used to quantify coumarin in dry power samples obtained through spraying drying from J. pectoralis extracts.
