Die invloed van 'n vasektomie op die seksuele satisfaksie van die getroude man

[摘要] ENGLISH ABSTRACT:Many men are of the opinion that a vasectomy will have a detrimental effect on theirsexual satisfaction, which is why this convenient method of contraception is oftenignored. The purpose of this study was to determine whether a vasectomy had anyeffect on important aspects of a marriage, such as sexual satisfaction, maritalsatisfaction, communication and frequency of sexual intercourse. An experimentalgroup and two control groups were used and data were collected by means of abiographical questionnaire and two questionnaires which were applied before and fivemonths after the vasectomy. Results indicated no significant difference between thebefore and after measurements regarding sexual satisfaction, marital satisfaction,communication and frequency of sexual intercourse. It was also revealed that althoughstrong correlations were found between marital satisfaction, communication and sexualsatisfaction, a weak correlation was found between frequency of sexual intercourseand the other measured variables.
