Publishing strategies and the function of translation : Dalene Matthee's Fiela's child and its German translation

[摘要] The study focuses on the role of publishing strategies and the function of translation withspecific reference to the German translation of Dalene Matthee's Fiela's Child Thehypothetical scheme of Lambert and Van Gorp, which aims to show which relations playpart in the production and shaping of translation as well as Fairclough serve as a basicguideline for the analysis of any genre-type shifts between high popular and trivial literature,with the hypothesis being that the publishing house has an influence on a genre-type shifttaking place between high popular and trivial literature. The role of the German publishinghouse, namely the BasteiLubbe Verlag and its policies, are studied in this context.
