Rebuttal From Drs Yarmus and Danoff
[摘要] Maldonado and Kropski1 provide a compelling case in support of the utility of cryobiopsy in the diagnosis of interstitial lung disease (ILD); however, the framework of their argument deserves some thoughtful consideration. Their first assertion is that the preference for surgical lung biopsy (SLB) over cryobiopsy is “driven by anecdotes and personal experience, rather than objective data.” The history of the utility of SLB in the diagnosis of ILD dates to the 1960s with the initial Liebow classification system.
