Repair of Tunneled Pleural Catheter

Two major systems exist, the Bard Aspira pleural drainage catheter (Bard Biopsy) and the PleurX drainage system (BD). The PleurX drainage system currently has no replaceable parts. There is only one other publication about patients who had repaired catheters.¹ We describe the replacement of a PleurX drainage system endpiece with PleurX supplies.
