Contemporary Trends of Outcomes Among ICU Admissions
[摘要] Lilly and colleagues1, in a recent report in CHEST (October 2017) on the contemporary patterns of critical care practice and outcomes, note key findings of decreasing crude and severity-adjusted hospital mortality and length of stay. The authors suggest that while causality cannot be inferred, it may be reasonable to expect that the observed decreased rates of preventable complications would in turn result in lower mortality and shorter duration of critical illness.
